About GFI

Global Frontiers International (GFI) Trust Ltd was established in 2012 to unveil the potential and power of Zambians and others beyond, to lead by distinction, dedication and a clear vision in their respective areas of human endeavour. It was co-founded by Bishop Dr. Joshua HK Banda and Pastor Gladys Zemba Moono Banda in Lusaka, Zambia.

Bishop Dr. Joshua HK Banda

Bishop Dr. Joshua H.K. Banda, PhD, is Overseer/Senior Pastor of Northmead Assembly of God in Lusaka, Zambia and President of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Africa (PAOA) Southern Africa Region, overseeing 4000+ congregations in 10 countries while  on the continental board of the Africa Forum on Religion and Governance (AFREG). 

Dr Banda is a diligent Bible Expositor and highly respected as a moral and spiritual leader of integrity, by successive Zambian Governments. He has initiated high level peace-building and reconciliation processes among key political leaders, to foster national unity and is passionate about sustaining cohesion and social justice in society, by speaking boldly to cross-cutting contemporary issues, globally. He leads a sub-committee on Advocacy, Conflict resolution and Peace building for the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and is co-chair of the African Union (AU)-Inter-Faith Dialogue Forum - Southern Africa Regional Platform.

In 38 years of multi-faceted Christian Ministry, Dr Banda’s core areas of study have included Theology, Leadership, Mission & Development Practice and Social policy (PhD from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies / Middlesex University, UK). 

He remains engaged in the Health & Education sectors as a Senator at the Lusaka Apex Medical University and Chancellor of the City University of Science and Technology (CUST). He contributes annually as Adjunct Lecturer for the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life & Stellenbosch University Joint PhD Programme in the subject of Research that measures Impact.

He is married to Pastor Gladys for 33 years and they have three adult children (29, 26 & 23) and one teenager (16) plus the latest addition of a daughter through marriage of their oldest son!

Pastor Gladys ZM Banda

Pastor Gladys ZM Banda has accounting and business management background, encompassing 31 years of Christian leadership Ministry (1987-2018) in general, coupled with vast experience that includes 19 years in Senior Management Leadership and Administration work, in particular, with a wealth of experience in Human Resources Management. She undertook Accounting Business and Accounting studies at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, USA (1987-1989) and later read a Diploma in Project Management with Merit, at the Zambia Institute of Accountancy Studies (ZICAS University, Lusaka. Zambia, 2007-2009) 

She Initiated of a feeding program for street children in 1999 that that grew from 20-300 boys being fed monthly, leading to the co-founding (with Dr. Banda) of the Lazarus Project (donor funded humanitarian project), which she directed for 11 years, rescuing and rehabilitating over 1000 street (some orphaned) and vulnerable children, providing them access to education and life skills. These efforts evolved into the establishment of the Lazarus Christian Community School, holding over 400 boys and girls from disadvantaged households, that otherwise would not afford an education.
